Marches Family Network

Helping disabled children and families thrive through connection, support and unforgettable experiences.

With George’s Fund support, Marches Family Network took 16 children to Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm for a day of adventure, friendship and new experiences.

For some, it may have been their first visit to a zoo. For families, the day also offered something equally valuable: time to rest, work or simply recharge.

A Community That Understands

Marches Family Network supports disabled children and young people up to the age of 25, alongside their families. Through respite sessions, family support and one-to-one advice, its trained team helps families access the care, support and opportunities they need.

Demand for support continues to grow. Between April 2025 and March 2026, more than 60 families asked to join Marches Family Network’s waiting list. Of those, 46 had a child aged 11 or under.

“Without funding coming in, Marches couldn’t run anything.”

The Day at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm

The grant enabled Marches to take 16 children to Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, with specialist staff and accessible transport making sure everyone could take part. It was a rare chance to spend a day out with friends, explore somewhere new and enjoy the adapted play areas together.

It wasn’t just a day out. It was a chance to belong.
